Suitability: 10 Yrs +

It’s no secret that colour is a big part of art, but where does maths come into this? Explore the mathematics of colouring problems and find out what the possible colouring configurations of a pattern or shape can tell you about it. Join mathematician Katie Steckles and illustrator Hana Ayoob to learn about colour mixing, and have fun creating your own colourful works of art!

You will need plain paper, a pencil, at least 4 different coloured pencils or pens, scissors and tape/glue. You might also find a ruler and additional colours useful, as well as a camera or smartphone to share photos of your finished work with us (if you’d like).
