Natural World

ShoreNI Intertidal Survey

Saturday 3 July, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Suitability: 6 Yrs +

Free

Most of the marine environment is relatively inaccessible and you need specialist gear or equipment in order to observe it. Rocky shores by comparison are readily accessible and provide a fantastic opportunity to encounter a wide range of fascinating animals and plants that are very different to those found on land.

Rockpools in particular are an endless source of fascination for children and adults alike and whilst many people will be familiar with our common shore crabs and fish such as shannies there are a myriad of other creatures that can be found if you know where and how to find them!

All you need to take part in this event is a pair of wellies!
