In the next decade Belfast and other Cities will be transformed into ‘Smart Cities’ using Internet-of-Things technologies which promise to improve the way we live, move and work. This creates a new global market based on smart computing technologies along with huge opportunities for new computer scientists who will soon need to fill the myriads of new computing jobs.
Academics and computer engineers from Queen’s School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and from local businesses will introduce participants to the new Smart World and inform them about the career opportunities and computing subjects via a live webinar.
The event is part of the 'Get Smarter' initiative supported by the Royal Academy of Engineering and W5 Centre, NI's STEM Hub.
