Suitability: 14 Yrs +

"Wheesht Ulster" is an interactive project highlighting the impact of everyday noise in our environment. As well as learning some of the basic principles of noise and growing research on how noisy environments affect our health and wellbeing, participants will be encouraged to explore and reconnect with spaces and places throughout NI to identify the best quiet areas that communities and society can benefit from. Such places can unexpectedly be found just a short distance from some of the noisiest places within our towns and cities. Using the Hush Cities app (a free citizen science mobile app) participants will be taking part in a European wide project with the potential of orientating plans and policies for healthier living.

Join Lindsay Shaw on a journey with a difference through the streets of Belfast.

Meeting point: Outside the Birley Building, Ulster University, York Street
