To celebrate Earth Day on Thursday 22 April, we've teamed up with organisations such as British Council NI, the National Geographic Society, the Department of Education and The Nerve Centre to present a very special series of talks and workshops for schools, including:
• National Geographic Explorer Classrooms with Dr Giovanni Chimienti & Lisa Becking
• Climate Clips Documentary Film Making Competition
Earth Day has been marked on 22 April every year since its inception in 1970. Marked by millions around the world, Earth Day is an annual event designed to shine a light on the serious environmental problems we’re facing, from the climate crisis to air pollution and deforestation.
These events is supported by the Department of Education and British Council Northern Ireland, and is part of British Council’s global programme #TheClimateConnection, taking place in the run up to COP26.
